Jeff Whiting is the Founder and Artistic Director of The Open Jar Institute, New York City Musical Theatre Institute, founded in 2003.
The institute brings in over 180 students each year to study one on one with Broadway's Best artists with a series of summer week-long sessions and the innovative eight-week Residency.
RESIDENCY:
For any actor, moving to New York City can be a pretty daunting idea but this eight-week residency helps you make the move to New York much easier. While providing a safe, furnished apartment in midtown, the Residency provides a Broadway Mentor to each student to help prepare and strategize a great career in the arts.
SUMMER INSTITUTE:
A select group of students are chosen each year to spend one week in New York city working one on one with Broadway's best professionals.
